Your child has now started developing speech and has a new understanding of the environment and the world we live in. When children enter the Toddler phase, they are offered a more structured play and learning environment catering to their individual and group needs. This is an important transitional time for children and as a result more structure will now be introduced into their daily routine. 

We put great emphasis on expanding vocabulary through songs, role play and storytelling.  Your child’s vocabulary will increase, putting together sentences and developing an understanding for different words. Charlie’s Childcare staff continuously encourage language development.

Weekly schedule of themes will be introduced and displayed in the creche for all to see.  In addition to arts and crafts, many more activities will now be introduced.  Indoor and outdoor activities are now becoming more interesting with a higher level of interaction, aiding the development of good communication skills. 

Toilet training will be discussed and implemented when you are happy and the time is right for your child.
